Can I drink the water from the tap?

The water is not affected by the oil spill. You can use and drink the water just as usual.

Who is responsible for the cleanup work?

The Coast Guard is responsible for cleaning in the sea. The municipality is responsible for cleaning the oil that reaches land. In those cases, the Coast Guard and the municipality collaborate.

How are the animals and nature affected by the oil spill?

Any form of oil is toxic and it negatively affects animals and vegetation.

What should I do if I have been in contact with the oil?

You should wash with soap and water. If you feel discomfort after inhaling fumes or from skin contact with the oil, call healthcare information at +46 1177.

Can I volunteer to help in the cleanup operations?

At present, we do not need help from volunteers. If the need for volunteers changes, we will publish a request for volunteers on our website.
